Sassisam loves Nicola Finetti A/W 2011 collection!

Nicola Finetti  is a man whose love for architecture, shape and a modern silhouette is obvious from all his collections.

There’s no surprise in his recent Autumn Winter 2011 collection where Finetti creates a well-tailored but casual look.

Blurring the lines between sexy, bold and classy, Finetti’s new range features lace, ruffles, lots of drapery over thick cotton fabric. A nice blend of short dresses and cuff length pants gives the ladies plenty of options with shoes. Gladiators, booties or pumps – everything would go with this collection.

However, a pair of sheer stocking might come handy this season, or you can just brave the cold and adhere to Finetti’s vision “of a modern, fearless woman“.

A few floral pieces with subtle prints appeal to those who want some colour in their winter wardrobe. Candy pink, emerald green and sunflower yellow are rocking Finetti’s latest collection. The overall colour palette is camel, red, black and grey.

Finetti says, “(the colours) give a more lushy and earthy element to the tailored pantsuits and bodysuits”.

To poke the party animal in you, Finetti has given some sequin dresses in silver and bronze undertones. The necklines are fairly high this winter, but Finetti didn’t think twice before revealing sexy backs.

Creating an evening drama, his long dresses are touched with the recent Hollywood trend of a short dress with long sheer fabric flowing over it. It gives a sensual yet chic look.

I personally think this is not his strongest collection, but Nicola’s design philosophy of allowing a woman to be a strong individual while embracing her femininity is manifested through this AW collection.

Amanda Ware gets her bouffant on for Nicola Finetti Pre Fall 2011/2012

Since being crowned runnerup to Australia’s Next Top Model Cycle 6 in September – and the moment later,

in dramatic fashion, names as the real competiton’s realwinner – Amanda Ware has yet to make her entree

onto the international fashion market. That could change after next week, should Ware hit the runways of New

York Fashion Week’s Fall/Winter 2011/2012 season, which kicks off on February 10. In New York right now for castings,

Ware has a better than even chance of getting noticed. Not just thanks to the ANTM win, but also inadvertently thanks to

ANTM host Sarah O’Hare, news of whose live tv gaffe in announcing the wrong winner spread swiftly around the world,

giving the show far more attention than it usually garners. Good timing then for Australian fashion designer Nicola Finetti in

nabbing the still under-the-radar Ware for his Pre Fall 2011/2012 campaign and lookbook.

Here is an exclusive preview of both below
